Cash Converters employees were shaken after an armed robbery at their premises in Heathway Shopping Centre, Blackheath, on the morning of 19 May.
According to Cash Converters manager, Vernene Brits, seven men entered the store and looked at cell phones.
“The seven men seemed to have concealed weapons and first looked at the cell phones. They then held two staff members at gun point and started demanding things from the shop,” she said.
According to Brits, when the alarms went off, Beagle Watch arrived on the scene immediately.
Brits said when Beagle Watch arrived, the suspects fled in a white Mercedes-Benz and a Honda Civic while firing three gun shots.
The suspects managed to take two Nokia cellphones.
No one was injured and no arrests have been made yet.
Fairland Police also arrived on scene and assisted with trauma counselling.
