Roosevelt Park power station out again

City Power says they are working on the restoration of the power at Roosevelt Power station.

Areas around Roosevelt Park power station have been affected by a power trip, the second one in less than a month.

According to the Intelligence Bureau South Africa Facebook page the Roosevelt power station has failed, this is after the substation caught alight last month (See previous)

City Power spokesperson Sol Masolo said there was a trip at the station at around 11 am on 5 May and affected the surrounding areas in Roosevelt Park. “The restoration of the power is currently being worked on,” added Masolo
