What are you walking for?

JOBURG — Do this year's walk the talk for your charity.

This year’s 702 walk the talk is challenging the participants to put their money where their mouth is.

All entrants are encouraged to walk for a charity or cause in the spirit of Lead SA with the 5km, 8km and 15km routes.

“We believe that there is a need for South Africans to unite and remind ourselves what we can achieve when we stand together,” said 702 station manager, Pheladi Gwangwa.

This year’s walkers are being urged to join us and bring hope to each other. “We can make a difference as a collective in the spirit of Lead SA”

On 26 July, thousands of family members, friends, colleagues, and their dogs, will step up to the challenge at Mark’s Park Sports Club in Emmarentia – this time for a good cause.

Barnswallows Baby Shelter in Weltevreden Park

Barnswallows cares and rehabilitates abused and abandoned babies. Not only do they need to be fed and cared for, but they also need to be guided into a positive and hopeful future.

South African Riding for the Disabled Association in Ruimsig

Sarda’s aim is to provide the opportunity of therapeutic and recreational horse riding for disabled people so that they might benefit in all aspects of their mental, physical and social lives.

Lighthouse Baby Shelter in Sundowner

The shelter takes care of children from birth to the age of six years.

More than 100 children have been at the shelter since it opened and 78 adoptions and placements into families.
