Hanna reaps the rewards

MILPARK - Hannah Mminele was named the dux scholar at the annual Deutsche Internationale Schule recently.

Hanna Mminele is reaping the rewards of her hard work.

Mminele was named the dux scholar at the annual Deutsche Internationale Schule Johannesburg Valediction recently.

She was recognised as one of Grade 12’s top academic achiever for her grades throughout last year.

“When I was named dux scholar I was of course overjoyed. It gave me some recognition for the hard work,” said Mminele.

She added that she has always been consistent with her grades.

“Luckily I have been an A student throughout my school life,” she boasted.

“At our school, we have the possibility to do the so called kombi-stream, which gives us the South African Matric, as well as the German Abitur,” she said.

Due to this, Mminele is only left with the Independent Examination Board (IEB) English exams and hopes to finish it on a high note.

She also informed that she draws her inspiration and motivation from friends, family and her faith.

When asked what she will be venturing into next year, Mminele said she is more interested in languages, however, she is still deciding.

“I think for me, in the end, it’s not about the job I will do, but that I wish to stay true to my friends, my family and myself, and find happiness and fulfilment in whatever it is that I do.”

She will be studying in Germany from September next year.
