WIN: Catch monster blockbuster at Nu Metro

There are six 2D tickets and six 3D tickets up for grabs.

The action-packed power of a monstrous battle hits all Nu Metro cinemas in KZN this weekend. Godzilla vs Kong in 3D arrives in SA cinemas this Friday.

In the run-up to the annual Academy Awards, the new Anthony Hopkins-drama, The Father, also starts showing. It has been nominated for six Oscars, including Best Picture of the Year.

Here are this weekend’s new releases at Nu Metro cinemas in KZN:

Godzilla vs Kong (10-12PG V)

[Showing at Nu Metro The Pavilion, Galleria Mall and Ballito Junction]

Legends collide as Godzilla and Kong, the two most powerful forces of nature, clash in a spectacular battle for the ages in Godzilla Vs Kong. As Monarch embarks on a perilous mission into fantastic uncharted terrain, unearthing clues to the Titans’ very origins, a human conspiracy threatens to wipe the creatures, both good and bad, from the face of the earth forever. As the gigantic Kong meets the unstoppable Godzilla, the world watches to see which one of them will hold the title of “King of the Monsters.”

The Father (13 LV)

[Showing at Nu Metro Ballito Junction and The Pavilion]

The Father stars Anthony Hopkins in the eponymous role of a mischievous and highly independent man who, as he ages, refuses all assistance from his daughter Anne (Olivia Colman). Yet, such help has become essentials following Anne’s decision to move to Paris with her partner. As Anne’s father tries to make sense of his changing circumstances, he begins to doubt his loved ones, his own mind and even the fabric of his reality. This powerful drama warmly embraces real life, through loving reflection upon the vibrant human condition; heart-breaking and uncompromisingly poignant – a movie that nestles in the truth of our own lives.

Nu Metro cinemas are open every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, and on public holidays – with all the required Covid-19 protocols in place, to keep you safe.
