You can be one of the first in South Africa to see Disney’s epic new animated movie, Raya and the Last Dragon, at Nu Metro’s special pre-release screenings next Saturday and Sunday (13-14 March). It’s a visually spectacular, humorous and action-packed adventure for children of all ages to enjoy. Bookings are now open on the Nu Metro website or at the cinema!

Here are this weekend’s new movie releases:

Coming 2 America (10-12PG LV)

[Showing at Nu Metro The Pavilion, Galleria Mall and Ballito Junction]

Set after the events of the first film, Coming 2 America follows former Prince Akeem Joffer (Eddie Murphy) as he is set to become King of Zamunda. He discovers he has a son he never knew about in America – a street-savvy Queens native named Lavelle (Jermaine Fowler). Honouring his royal father’s (James Earl Jones) dying wish to groom this son as the crown prince, Akeem and Semmi (Arsenio Hall) set off to America once again. It’s a feel-good movie guaranteed to make you laugh out loud with the legends of hilarious comedy.

Tom and Jerry (PG V)

[Showing at Nu Metro The Pavilion, Galleria Mall and Ballito Junction]

One of the most beloved rivalries in history is reignited when Jerry moves into New York City’s finest hotel on the eve of “the wedding of the century,” forcing the event’s desperate planner to hire Tom to get rid of him. The ensuing cat-and-mouse battle threatens to destroy the planner’s career, the wedding, and possibly the hotel. This time, they may just be forced to work together to save the day in this new adventure jam-packed with fun and loads of cartoon-style action.
