Enjoy an expressive expression fashion fair

The public is urged to support local designers by attending this year’s eagerly anticipated Durban Fashion Fair (#DFF2022DFF) fashion shows that will showcase local and African talent.

The DFF will be held from 21 to 24 September at the Inkosi Albert Luthuli International Convention Centre (Durban ICC) and will showcase top designers from across the African continent alongside evolving new talent. The iconic event will also see stakeholders across the fashion value chain come together to not only celebrate the fashion on display, but to also expose newcomers to the industry.

EThekwini Mayor Councillor Mxolisi Kaunda said the theme of this year’s DFF is ‘Expressive expression’. Mayor Kaunda said there are confirmed buyers from various national textile retail chain stores that will be attending the DFF to scout for new talent.

“We hope that they will find what they are looking for, which will result in more of our designers supplying big retail stores. We know that they are more than capable,” he said.

The DFF is an integral part of the broader 2022 Durban Business Fair. Clothing and textile are vital in boosting local economic growth. The public is urged to support local designers by attending the DFF fashion shows.

The DFF will have a Make-up and Beauty Masterclass sponsored by the Edgars Beauty Academy and will be facilitated by a well-known make-up artist Lwazi Blose known as the “Diva Cadach”. There will also be a buyer’s lounge where attendees can shop local as well as the DFF Recognition Awards being held.

Tickets are available at all Boxer and Pick ‘n Pay outlets as well as online at www.webtickets.co.za

The general pass ticket will permit you to attend one show and costs R120. A day pass ticket is priced at R250 and will allow you to watch all the shows on a specific day. The VIP pass ticket is R500 while the DFF Recognition Awards ticket is R200.
