New at the movies this week is Winnie-the-Pooh.

What’s new at the movies?

Winnie-the-Pooh and some of the world’s most beloved characters can now also be seen in the brand new live-action adventure, Disney’s Christopher Robin; along with a new Bollywood comedy.

THE DARKEST MINDS (13 LPV)

When a group of teens mysteriously develop powerful new abilities, they are declared a threat by the government and detained. Sixteen-year-old Ruby, one of the most powerful young people anyone has encountered, escapes her camp and joins a group of runaway teens seeking safe haven. Soon, this newfound family realises that, in a world in which the adults in power have betrayed them, running is not enough and that they must wage a resistance.

CHRISTOPHER ROBIN (PG V)

An adult Christopher Robin (Ewan McGregor), who is now focused on his new life, work, and family, suddenly meets his old friend Winnie-the-Pooh, returning to his unforgotten childhood to help Pooh return to the Hundred Acre Wood.

With Christopher’s help, Pooh embarks on a journey to find his friends — Tigger, Eeyore, Owl, Piglet, Rabbit, Kanga and Roo.

KARWAAN

Avinash, a dejected soul stuck in a dead-end job, shares a strange relationship with his father. He holds him responsible for crushing his dreams. However, he is left pondering upon this longstanding hatred when he hears of his father’s untimely demise.
