Catch free concert with established guitarist

The lyrics are based on the rich African culture in South Africa.

ON Saturday, 13 January Vusi Mkhize and his eight-piece band band will be playing at The Rainbow.

Mkhize will be on lead guitar and vocals; Aristides Monique on second guitar; Mama Zing on drums; with Mandala Zikalala on bass. They will be joined by Mthobisi Mthalane playing keys with Zama Ndozi , Zanele Zulu and Zanele Mabaso on vocals.

Vusi Mkhize is an established guitarist, singer, songwriter and producer originally from Mpumalanga township near Hammarsdale in KwaZulu-Natal.

His music is a unique blend of African sounds- authentic contemporary South African music strongly influenced by traditional indigenous music. Each song rings out a different message but the common denominator is a message of peace and unity.

The lyrics are based on the rich African culture in South Africa and forgotten truths.

This performance is part of the Concerts SA Venue Circuit which aims to foster a love and support for live music in communities.

Concerts SA is a joint South African/Norwegian live music development project housed within the SAMRO Foundation. Entry is free and the venue is situated at 23 Stanfield Lane, Pinetown, 3620, Durban. Doors open at 4pm.
