Grab some popcorn in aid of Child Welfare

The Soroptimist International Durban will be hosting a charity screening of Viceroy's House at the Supernova Suncoast Cinecentre.

JOIN the Soroptimist International Durban (SID) for a charity screening of Viceroy’s House at the Supernova Suncoast Cinecentre.

The British-Indian historical drama, directed by Gurinder Chadha, tells the story of the last Viceroy of India, Lord Mountbatten, as he oversees the transition of India’s Independence.

Funds from the screening will be donated to Child Welfare KZN.

The fundraiser was spearheaded by a former Child Welfare member and uMhlanga resident, Yatisha Ramdarie.

Ramdarie, who is also the chairperson of the SID, said she felt compelled to organise a fundraiser after she heard about Child welfare’s lack of fund.

“Please help us continue to inspire change and transform lives,” she said.

The screening will take place on Wednesday, 26 July at the Suncoast Cinecentre at 7pm.

Tickets cost R100 per person and includes a popcorn and coke.
