WIN: Tickets for a chance to be hypnotised

Five lucky Northglen News readers can each win a pair of tickets to the show.

DURBAN favourite Andre The Hilarious Hypnotist returns to UKZN’s Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre for two weeks this August. Durban’s Theatre calendar would not be complete without its yearly visit of the Andre The Hilarious Hypnotist.

Born in Durban, Andre’s parents later moved up to Gauteng but Andre has always considered himself a Durbanite at heart and the support he has received in Durban over the years has been astronomical.

Andre’s ever-popular show is a mixed bag of hypnosis, funny routines, a unique brand of comedy and a very dry sense of humour. Combine all these ingredients and you have a show guaranteed to have you in stitches of laughter from beginning to end.

Andre believes that the success of the show is based on the fact that no two shows are ever the same. What makes the show even better is that the volunteers are friends and family which adds that touch of realism to the evening’s event. The show relies firstly on the people who volunteer and then even more on the reaction of these volunteers to his suggestions. And even there Andre has no shortage in suggestions, adding Superman, a crowing cow, and a pas de deux to this year’s mix of the weird and wonderful.

But Andre’s show does not stop there. In his search for the funniest volunteer in Durban, Andre will by public vote, invite the funniest volunteer from ever show to his final performance in Durban, where the winner will win a cash price and feature in Andre’s new online Internet Television show.

Catch the show at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre from 8 to 20 August. Performances are at 8pm (Tuesdays to Saturdays) and at 3pm on Sundays. Tickets are R120 per person. Booking is through Computicket outlets at Shoprite Checkers or contact 0861 915 8000.
