Top SA comedians head to Durban

Don't miss these comedy shows to be held at various venues around the city.

FROM Saturday, 28 May, five stand-up comedy shows will take place around Durban. The shows kick off on this date and runs until Wednesday, 1 June. The line-up includes SA’s funniest comedian-guitarist – Deep Fried Man. This award-winning comic will be headlining an epic run of comedy shows throughout the city. He is  joined by ex-Durbanites,  Robby Collins (one of Trevor Noah’s highly successful protégés) as well as Richelieu Benouir who himself has been flying around the country on the Goliaths’ sold-out Aweh Mzanzi tour.

Then the hilarious Glen Biderman-Pam, who is back by popular demand, will also feature. They will all be sharing the stage with Neil Green, Arnotte Payne and Jem Atkins. On Saturday, 28 May, the funny-men will perform at The Dutch Comedy Night (uMhlanga). Tickets are R130 and the show starts at 7pm.

On Sunday, 29 May, they will perform at Sunday Comedy Special at the Pumpkin Theatre in Ballito. Tickets for this performance are R120 and the show starts 3pm.

Then, on Tuesday, 31 May, the comedians will be at Mozambik Hillcrest’s Comedy Night, where the show starts at 8.30pm and tickets cost R90. Finally, on Wednesday, 1 June, catch the boys at Amsterdam Comedy Club in Glenwood. Entrance is R50 and the show gets underway at 8.30pm.
