THERE is no escaping the annual Christmas festivities, so rather than being a Scrooge, embrace the joy and happiness that comes with the jingle bells and those Boney M tunes.
To get you started, the Durban North Baptist Church will be hosting a Who’s Your Father Christmas? event on Saturday, 21 November from 2pm to 4pm.
The aim of the event is to explore the meaning of Christmas, said guest comedian and Durban North resident, Lisa Bobbert.
“It is a play on ‘Who’s your daddy?’. We will be exploring the reasons behind celebrating Christmas and the real message behind the festivities,” she explained.
Bobbert went on to say that Christmas has also been so highly commercialised that it is often marred by stress and expectations. “We want people to reevaluate what Christmas is about,” she said.
