Meet a three-year-old daredevil

Trenton is the youngest rider in his league by three years.

MOTORBIKE racing is not for the faint-hearted. Most of us find the idea of racing around a track on a motorbike frightening, but not three-year-old Trenton Kretsmann from Glenashely Junior Primary, who competes every month in the Green Bus Racing events, a social introduction for children into the exciting world of motocross. After hearing of this young daredevil, the Northglen News decided to meet with Trenton and see him in action. On arrival at Glenashley Junior Primary, we found him marching out of his classroom in his full kit, after which he got onto his bike, put on his helmet and with no hesitation whatsoever asked for his bike to be started so that he could ride around the school.

Natalie Kretzmann, Trenton’s mother, said, “He used to come home from school every day, turn his bike on by himself and race around the house. He was previously riding an electric bike because he was not big enough to hold up a a petrol bike.” Trenton now rides a petrol-driven Yamaha bike and in his last competition he competed in six races and completed all of them.Trenton is the youngest rider in his league by three years, and said he can even pick his bike up when his falls over. Trenton’s dad is also a motocross rider and both of them practice their racing skills at Springfield every week. The future is looking both bright and fast for this young racer.
