I am guilty of this – its harsh but necessary

A woman besotted with her baby is told, via an anonymous letter, that her friends have had enough.

I fall for it every time, and every time I say I am not going to let it get to me: people posting mundane issues about their lives: ‘Just arrived Gateway to do some shopping (picture)…’

But here is where I become unstuck… I click and I read and I examine the picture. I could simply ‘scroll on by’. I don’t, and think, “Why is the fact that you at Gateway of interest to me? I wish you wouldn’t post such nonsense; oh, so-and-so makes me sick.”

But a few women in Australia have taken their frustration to another level. They penned a letter to a doting mother of a beautiful little girl. In the letter they implore the mother of six-month-old Addy Ruthven to stop posting pictures of her baby.

The letter was apparently sent by one of Jade Ruthven’s friends, who went as far as to say, in her scathing letter: “We all have kids that we are besotted with… But we don’t ram it down everyone else’s neck!!!”

The letter went on to say: ‘She crawls off the mat – we DON’T care!!! She’s six months old – BIG DEAL!!!’

Harsh, but necessary…?
