Criminals keep a tight grip on residents

This week the Northglen News reports on two cases of criminal activity that has left residents terrified.

WE were shocked when we heard the story of a complex in uMhlanga where the residents say they are being held under siege by criminals. According to the residents of uMhlanga Manors, there have been more than 30 incidents of break-ins and trespassing this year alone. Since 21 November there have been seven incidents, the most serious of which took place last Monday (1 December).

We also wrote about a mother and daughter, who live in Old North Coast Road, who were hijacked last week. The duo were accosted by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun. Though no one was injured, Tasnim and Nikita remained traumatised by the incident.
