IT was not only humbling but also a time when my spirits were lifted. The day was last Friday, 28 November. The event was ‘Christmas 4 Kids’ and the venue was the Golden Gateway School for special needs children. The organisers were the Robin Hood Foundation. I made my way to the school in Cato Manor and expected the usual “fun day” activities. But I was pleasantly surprised to see the team from the Robin Hood Foundation had not only organised loads of fun activities for the kids – they were also taking part in the fun. And for me, who is surrounded by bad news on an hourly basis, it was heartwarming. Take a look at some of the pictures taken on the day: A ‘Christmas 4 the kids.’
