GALLERY: Durban shows love for Super Giants at Kingsmead

The first Betway SA20 clash between Durban’s Super Giants and Joburg Super Kings attracted huge crowds.

MORE than 11 000 supporters showed their support for Durban’s Super Giants at Kingsmead on Wednesday.

It was the home team’s first game of the Betway SA20 competition which saw the Joburg Super Kings (JSK) triumph by 16 runs in front of a passionate crowd.

DSG player Keshav Maharaj also thanked the home crowd for their support.

“It was a sight to behold. I’ve played here for 17 years, and this is probably the best crowd I’ve ever seen at Kingsmead. Considering it was a weekday, the vibe and the atmosphere here were incredible, and a lot of credit must go to the teams and how they have marketed themselves. I think that it will only get better from here,” Maharaj said.
