Lace up for river run

THE 2021 edition of the popular Euro Steel Run The Rivers trail runs in partnership with FNB will take place in and around Underberg on the weekend of 30 and 31 January.

The first day offers a 25km route for the full race and a 16km option for the shorter version based in the hills of the Southern Drakensberg around the Sani Spoors and finishing at the Swartberg Road bridge just outside Underberg.

The second day takes the runners into the legendary Thrombi Gorge with a 12km loop for the full race and a shorter option of 8km. The race follows trails alongside the uMzimkhulu River that will be hosting the N3TC Drak Challenge canoe marathon and shares the trails with the Euro Steel Drak Descent MTB races on the same weekend, making up the FNB Drak Adventure Weekend with the FNB Drak Music Experience concerts.
