People to blame for road carnage

Reader assets that people who do not follow the rules of the road are the problem.

TO anyone who has recently claimed that the M4 or N2 is a death trap, you are most certainly naive. Just like guns, roads are not the cause of all the senseless death – people are.
Guns and roads are the perfect scapegoat but people need to take responsibility. As our ward councillor, Heinz de Boer, said, there is nothing wrong with those roads.

People are the problem. people who just can’t seem to follow the simple rules of the road. I see it every day. Many are in such a rush to get from point A to B that they recklessly risk their lives and the lives of others by speeding, failing to indicate or stop at a red robot or stop-street, or drive while intoxicated.

Then there are those that think is okay to drive the in the emergency lane. On Sunday we heard how these impatient and selfish fools prevented paramedics from reaching the accident scene. Two people died.

If it were up to me I would have all of those people arrested and charged with involuntary manslaughter, because unless they were dying they had no business being in that lane.
