‘Impeach the president’

Reader says that the president ‘made a mockery’ of the people of South Africa.

THERE is nothing quite so bad and unforgivable as misleading or lying to parliament. Far greater men than our sleazebag president have paid a very heavy price for doing so.
Parliament and our Constitution are both sacrosanct. To mislead or lie to parliament is show a middle finger to our very democracy, our institutions, our people – many of whom sacrificed their lives and paid a terrible price for democratic government – and our national fabric. It is simply beyond the pale and yet it has become a regular feature of our national politics.
It must stop here and now.

The Constitutional Court ruling makes it absolutely clear that Jacob Zuma lied to parliament. And he hasn’t the guts or the integrity to fall on his sword. He’s beyond a disgrace. He has shamed our nation and his office. He has made a mockery of our parliament and our people.Impeach the president.
