Editor – IT is with much anger and outrage that I respond to your article regarding Leah being attacked on Addison Drive, La Lucia, on Saturday, 8 November at 6pm. I have lived in Addison Drive for 42 years and I walk my two black Great Danes to the beach every morning and back.

I am absolutely appalled that the owner of the German Shepherd just stood there and did not even try to intervene in trying to separate his dog from attacking Leah so viciously.

Then he had the audacity to threaten Mr Hanson by telling him that he would kill him and shoot Leah if ever they walked past his house again. Is this person deranged or so self-absorbed that he does not know right from wrong?

Something is wrong in this scenario, the person does not own Addison Drive. One does not go around behaving in this manner. The police should be called.

We should all come together to support Mr Hanson as it seems that he is a kind person who gives back to society by rescuing puppies that have been abandoned. Leah also plays a huge part in these rescues by nursing the puppies that he has fostered.
