Crash landing leaves one injured in Durban North

One person was injured and the other unharmed during the incident.

ONE person sustained minor injuries during a crash landing of a light aircraft on Beachwood Golf Course this afternoon (Thursday, October 17).

ALS Paramedics arrived at the scene just after 13:00 and began to treat the injured occupant.

“It is believed that the plane had two occupants at the time of the crash. One of the occupants had sustained minor injuries and was stabilised on the scene before being transported to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required,” said ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson.

The other occupant was not injured.

SAPS and Metro Police Search and Rescue were also on the scene. The cause of the crash is yet to be determined.
