Join the ‘love’ in North Durban to raise funds for rice-collection drive

Food for Love Africa serves millions of meals annually, providing critical sustenance to individuals and families across South Africa.

FOOD for Love Africa has been providing meals to millions of people all over South Africa through the help of donors and sponsorships.

The organisation has been dedicated to fighting against hunger for the last four years, with 12 operational kitchens across the country.

They have mastered supply-chain and production processes that allow them to prepare and serve a hot, nutritious meal for just R7 per plate.

“But it’s not just about feeding people – it’s about feeding people with dignity,” said Lisa Sukdev, spokesperson for Food for Love Africa.

This year, Food for Love Africa is calling on the public to join them for their most anticipated fundraiser: the Annual Rice Drive.

The venue is the River Range Ranch in Verulam where a convoy led by a helicopter, with a thrilling mix of Super Bikes, Harley Davidsons, Super Cars, sports cars, classic cars, trucks and buses will be found.

All involved will ride, drive and fly from Pick ‘n Pay Hyper to the organisation’s headquarters.

“Thousands are expected to participate in this year’s drive, creating a sight to behold for any car enthusiast but, more importantly, contributing to a cause that changes lives. The funds raised during the Rice Drive allow Food for Love Africa to continue preparing and distributing meals that offer the essential nutrients to keep children healthy, parents strong and communities hopeful,” she added.

The organisation appeals to the public, sponsors and supporters to join this year’s Annual Rice Drive and be part of a movement that feeds millions while spreading love and dignity across Africa.
