Local schools welcome Spring

Caxton Local Media highlights three schools, showing the fun welcoming-spring activities the learners took part in.

WELCOMING spring is a long-standing tradition in many South African schools. While some schools mark the occasion with concerts and activities for learners, others express their creativity through vibrant artworks, such as elaborate spring hats. We had the pleasure of sharing in the spring celebrations of three schools from the Berea, Highway and Durban North areas.

Crawford International North Coast

Crawford International North Coast took to their Facebook to show their spring celebrations. The school celebrated their newly revived eco-garden and butterfly garden after facing the effects of the tornado which destroyed many plants and trees.

“Students in the pre-primary and preparatory have been actively involved in creating an eco-garden and a butterfly garden, contributing plants and seedlings that will help restore the natural beauty of our campus. Additionally, we are proud to share that Crawford International North Coast recycled 307.97kg with the Clothes to Good Programme during our recent drive, a remarkable achievement in challenging times.
The participants in this programme will plant 61 Spekboom plants as a token of appreciation from the Clothes to Good Foundation,” said the school.
