This time, the vigilant homeowner immediately called Marshall Security when he spotted someone on his property yesterday (Friday).

The resident saw the suspect behaving suspiciously in their property on Heronmere Road before fleeing towards Belvedere Road.

“The non-client alerted Marshall Security. Our Armed Response Officers, along with our Special Operations Team, were immediately dispatched to the scene. The suspect was spotted running along Chris Hani Road, carrying a stolen metal gutter bracket,” said Marshall Security spokesperson Tyrone Powell.

After a brief pursuit, the suspect was apprehended on Effingham Road.

“The suspect is also wanted in connection with a previous theft that occurred on August 26 at the same address on Heronmere Road,” added Powell.

Greenwood Park SAPS arrived on the scene and transported the suspect for further investigation.
