Directed by Ros Conrad, excerpts from Mozarts Requiem, Showboat, West Side Story, The Sound of Music and other popular songs will be played. Conrad will be accompanied by Dr David Smith.

The Durban Sympnoic Choir was formed in 1966 and against all odds are still going strong with a membership of about 60 choristers.

The choir does not get any funding – members pay a monthly subsription to belong and rely on the proceeds and donations from our concerts in order to cover costs.

Its repettoire is vast and includes works by Dvorak, Mozart, Beethoven, Strauss, Orff, Haydn, Handel and John Rutter. They also enjoy musicals such as The Sound of Music, West Side Story and Showboat, often doing medleys by more modern composers such Paul McCartney, Andrew Lloyd Webber, and many more.

Tickets cost R120 and can be booked via email to admin@saintmichaels.org.za. For more information call Sharon Westcott on 083 2700 478.

Refreshments will be served after the show.
