Woman dies in car accident near Queen Nandi Drive

ALS Paramedics have asked motorists to drive cautiously following an accident which claimed one life this morning.

ONE person died and four others were injured after the driver of a vehicle lost control and overturned in the vicinity of Queen Nandi Drive this morning.

“Around 10am ALS Paramedics responded to the N2 South before Nandi Drive for a single vehicle that had somehow lost control and overturned down the embankment,” said ALS spokesperson Garrith Jamieson.

“Paramedics found four occupants had sustained various injuries. A female believed to be in her twenties had sustained major injuries and she was declared deceased on the scene,” he added.

The four occupants were stabilised by advanced life support paramedics before being transported to various durban hospitals.

“ALS Paramedics would like to urge all motorists to please slow down and exercise caution and reach their destination safely,” added Jamieson.

SAPS will be investigating further.
