The protest will also affect Beachway, Mackeurtan Avenue and Dorrington Crescent from 10:00 to 14:00 on the day.

Darryl Oliver (public relations officer) for the Durban North CPF, said the protest involves about 250 disgruntled staff from a security company based on Adelaide Tambo Road.

“The march will start at the corner of Beachway and Mackeurtan Avenue. Protestors will then head towards the corner of Dorrington Crescent and Adelaide Tambo Road where they will gather at 14:00. The protestors have stated that should the memorandum be received before 14:00, they will leave early,” he said.

“All relevant authorities have been notified and will be on standby. Motorists and residents are urged to adhere to instructions given by law enforcement regarding directions or to use alternative routes during this time,” added Oliver.

Durban North SAPS, metro police, Public Order Policing and Durban North CPF will be at the scene to ensure the smooth flow of events.
