“Our Special Operations Team, while on patrol along the M4, spotted the white Ford Ranger which was implicated in two separate theft incidents within the Avoca and Greenwood Park area. The Ford Ranger was used in the theft of a diesel trailer earlier in January.
“The same vehicle was used in fuelling up without settling payment at a well-known service station in March of this year. With the support of the Durban North SAPS Crime Prevention Unit, the vehicle was intercepted and one suspect was apprehended,” he said.
Powell added that investigations revealed that the vehicle was stolen in November 2021 from the Verulam area.
