uMhlanga school to host Disney sing-a-long concert

The concert will feature music from several animated favourites.

THE KZN Youth Wind Band, in collaboration with Reddam House Umhlanga, will host a concert on Sunday, February 25 that will take audiences down memory lane and give off all the feels.

The Disney Sing-a-long concert is also a fundraiser for the Reddam College Choir New York tour.

Russell Scott, the director of college cultural activities and music, said that children and parents alike are invited to sing their hearts to music from animated favourites, including The Lion King, Aladdin, Frozen, Beauty and the Beast, Moanna and more.

“The musical is hosted by Durban’s very own fairy godmother, Shelley McLean, and promises to deliver an unforgettable musical experience. Children are encouraged to dress as their favourite Disney character for photo opportunities with Princes and Princesses,” he said.

Doors open at 13:20, and it is picnic-style-unreserved seating in the Muir Auditorium at the school (Preston Drive).

The public is urged to bring blankets and cushions.
