THE Virginia Airshow is back for the first time in eight years. The event, which takes place on September 9, will see the skies of Durban treated to the roar of South Africa’s most magnificent aerobatic aircraft.
With the Indian Ocean as the perfect backdrop for these incredible displays, this popular airshow promises to be an action-packed family day out.
Spectators can look forward to dramatic theatre in the sky and a range of ground exhibits, a market, delicious food and refreshment stalls, and activities for all ages to enjoy.

This year’s line-up includes displays by The South African Air Force (SAAF), the talented Andrew Blackwood Murray and five-times South African aerobatics champion Patrick Davidson.
Prior to 2015, the Virginia Airshow has a long and iconic history in Durban, with 57 years of spectacular manoeuvres and acrobatic flips thrilling thousands of spectators.
Gates open at 08:30, and tickets cost R140 for adults and R80 for children and are available at Ticketpro.
