Pact em’barks’ on adoption campaign

The pop-up adoption day is being held in memory of a very special boy named Drax who died recently

IF you’re looking for a fur companion to add to your family, Phoenix Animal Care Treatment (PACT) may have the perfect fit for your home.

The organisation is holding a pop-up adoption day at various venues throughout Durban North and uMhlanga, starting this Saturday, August 19 at Flowers on Chartwell from 10:00 to 14:00.

PACT has numerous dogs loaded with cuteness and personality and who are simply just eager to find their forever homes.

Founder Neeri Naidoo said the aim of the initiative is to home as many animals as possible to alleviate the overflow at the kennels which has rendered them unable to rescue any more animals.

“The soaring kennel fees and the upkeep costs, such as medication and food, are the knock-on effect we feel as a result of low adoptions. We urge the community to pop by and show our dogs some love, and hopefully even adopt one,” she said.
