Marshall Security’s special operations team chased after the vehicle which was involved in a theft case where a cellphone was stolen from a member of the public.

“Our special ops team promptly initiated a pursuit of the vehicle and requested assistance from the Greenwood Park SAPS Trio Crimes Unit. After a brief period, members of the Special Operations Team and SAPS managed to successfully stop the vehicle on Riverside Road,” said Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell.

He said the suspects could not provide a reasonable explanation to the SAPS members as to how they had come to possess the items found on them and were immediately arrested.

“The suspects are believed to have been involved in numerous theft and common robbery cases in the Greenwood Park and Durban North area in the last few months,” he added.

Greenwood Park SAPS will investigate further.

“We strongly urge members of the public to report any incidents and open a case with the SAPS if they have fallen victim to crimes with a similar modus operandi,” added Powell.
