Woman robbed on uMhlanga Rocks Drive

The public is reminded to stay vigilant and to report any suspicious behaviour to law enforcement immediately.

A WOMAN was robbed of her two cellphones on uMhlanga Rocks Drive on Monday morning.

Marshall Security received reports of a woman screaming in the area and responded.

“The woman approached armed response officers and reported a robbery. She said she had been robbed of her two cellphones and provided a detailed description of the suspect, who had fled into the Virginia Bush,” said Marshall Security spokesperson Tyron Powell.

“The team apprehended the suspect about an hour later on Malacca Road with both phones in his possession. The suspect was taken to Greenwood Park SAPS for further investigation and processing,” said Powell.

It is believed that the suspect has connections to multiple additional robberies of domestic workers in the same vicinity.
