A motorbike rider in his 60s was declared deceased at the scene.

ONE person has been killed in an accident involving two trucks and a motorbike on the N2 (northbound) just before the Gateway off-ramp.

According to ALS Paramedics Medical Services spokesperson, Garrith Jamieson, all three vehicles left the roadway and ended up on the grassy bank with the motorbiker rider trapped under one of the trucks.

“The driver of the motorbike, a man believed to be in his 60s, has been declared deceased at the scene by paramedics. The eThekwini Fire Department is standing by for the assistance of a heavy-duty tow truck to assist in freeing the biker’s body from underneath the truck,” he said.
