Jean Wiggill said she was fast asleep at her family home in Old Mill Way when the incident occurred at 04.44.

About one-third of the wall is now a pile of debris, and half of her gate is damaged.

“My domestic worker heard a loud bang and went to see what had happened. She then alerted me to what had happened, but the driver was gone by then,” said Wiggill.

“We have identified that the vehicle is a Land Cruiser, but we are still looking for the driver. A police case has been opened,” she said.

In the meantime, Wiggill said she has hired a guard to secure the premises.

If you have any information regarding the owner of the bakkie, contact her on 082 350 6132.
