IN an attempt to boost the ailing tourism sector, eThekwini Municipality is offering a whale-watching experience at Wilson’s Wharf.

The city is offering this experience through Isle of Capri Cruises before the end of November.
“Part of the experience includes a display by the whales called breaching. This is when a whale propels its body out of the water and upon its re-entry, creates an impressive splash. Whale-watching is a seasonal experience from the beginning of May to the end of November,” the City said in the statement.
The city added that the two-hour whale-watching experience, which normally costs R1 150 per person, is now R650.
