Tee-off for the Durban and Coast SPCA

Tanya Fleischer, marketing manager for the animal welfare organisation, said the day was also about raising awareness as to what the SPCA does.

THIS year marks the 125th anniversary of the Durban & Coast SPCA and they are hoping Durbanites come out in numbers to support their upcoming golf day on Friday, November 18.

Tanya Fleischer, marketing manager for the animal welfare organisation, said the day was also about raising awareness as to what the SPCA does.

“The golf day is one of our bigger events and a chance for us to raise much-needed funds. It’s also an event that keeps growing every year, so we are urging all those who want to take part to enter. Since its first year, we’ve just seen the numbers increase which is fantastic – there’s been so much love and support from the community.

“We receive no funding from the government, and we rely solely on the generosity of the community we serve to support us, and I’m hoping residents will come out in their numbers on the day,” she said.

Fleischer added, the golf day will be held at The Royal Durban to celebrate their anniversary.

“The price is R2 800 for a 4-ball, which includes snacks and prizes. The abandoned, orphaned and neglected animals in our care look forward to your participation,” she enthused.

She added that corporate branding is also available at each of the 18 holes.

“In return for a sponsorship fee, we are offering corporate branding and product promotion at the sponsored green/tee in accordance with club regulations.”
