Abandoned car found riddled with bullets on the N2

Police are investigating the car that was discovered abandoned on the N2 near the Sibaya off-ramp.

A BULLET-RIDDEN vehicle was found abandoned on the N2 on Monday morning.
The silver Toyota Hilux was discovered abandoned on the southbound lane of the N2 between uMdloti and Sibaya Casino and Entertainment Kingdom.
According to the Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), they were contacted by a passerby and a tow-truck operator at approximately 07:13 after they noticed the vehicle parked in the centre median. RUSA members were dispatched to the location provided. On arrival, they discovered blood inside the vehicle.
Reaction Unit South Africa spokesperson Prem Balram said that the bakkie had been shot multiple times with high calibre and 9mm firearms. No bodies were found in the vehicle, and the circumstances surrounding the shooting have not yet been confirmed.
