FIFTY-FOUR years ago, Clicks Retail Group was founded in Cape Town by Jack Goldin. Goldin was a visionary retailer who intended to create a chain of drugstores, but due to legislative restrictions, however, his dream was only realised 35 years later.
The company has come a long way since its inception and now operates more than 670 retail outlets in South Africa and was listed on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange, in the Food and Drug Retailers sector, in 2003.
The pharmacy chain not only provides healthcare services and clinics but also retails beauty products, lifestyle products, baby products, music, clothing and so much more.
The South African retailer has become a major part of many South African lives, whether you visit the store for back-to-school hair accessories at the start of the year or head to the store to restock diapers or toilet paper or your skincare and makeup products. There’s something for everyone!
