Other heavily affected areas include Mimosa Road, Queen Nandi Drive, and Chris Hani Road, where motorists are experiencing significant delays and road closures.
Emergency services are on high alert.
Garrith Jamieson, spokesperson for ALS Paramedics, has issued an urgent appeal to the public.
“With multiple warnings of flooding today, ALS Paramedics would like to urge all motorists to please be cautious in this wet weather. Ensure your vehicle is roadworthy, keep your headlights on for visibility, and leave earlier than usual to accommodate for delays,” said Jamieson.
Residents in low-lying areas are also being warned to monitor their homes closely for any signs of flooding.
“If water starts to enter your house or you suspect flooding, we urge you to leave the premises before it’s too late. Be aware of your surroundings — like sandbanks — which could collapse and pose serious risks,” Jamieson added.
Residents are advised to stay updated on weather alerts and road conditions throughout the day.
