N3 closed due to major chemical spill

Road users are urged to steer clear of the N3 which has been closed in both directions after a chemical spill.

ALS Paramedics are urging the public to steer clear of the N3 Durban bound near the Spaghetti Junction interchange due to a chemical spillage.

The relevant authorities are on the scene and are still investigating the incident. It appears that a few containers containing the acidic chemicals on a truck fell and ruptured causing a spillage on the major highway

“People are advised to avoid this area at all costs, it is extremely dangerous to people’s health,” said ALS Paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson.
