Buy a book and bear and support the babies

The Bear and Book sale is a fundraiser for the Ray of Hope Babies’ Home which is being held as part of Mandela Day festivities.

IF you’re still undecided on a good deed to do for Mandela Month this July, earmark the Book and Bear Sale in Somerset Park where all proceeds go to the Ray of Hope Babies’ Home.

The sale takes place on Sunday, July 16 from 9:00 until 11:30 at Immanuel Church. Not only will there be fluffy stuffed animals and good reads on sale but good quality lipsticks, too.

Baby home volunteer Dawn Buxton said this was a special event being held to commemorate Mandela Day, separate from the usual market.

“Come and support the sale and pay it forward for Mandela Day. We now have a books shop set up which makes browsing for your reads a breeze. Your good deeds don’t have to stop there. You can also support our monthly market which takes place on the first Saturday of every month,” she said.

For more information, contact Buxton on 076 109 1216 or Sharon Moss on 072 421 9855.
