The Buzz Market takes place on Saturday, January 14 from 09:00 to 14:00 at 38 Pitlochry Road, Westville, next door to Garden Centre. The market offers local, unique and authentic gifts; delicious organic vegetables; funky clothing with a local flair; decadent treats, including brownies, biscotti, muffins and malva pudding; boerie rolls, Indian delights and home-crafted sauces; decor and jewellery; second-hand books and, as always, delish coffee.

Until Sunday, January 15

Don’t miss Jack and the Beanstalk, a family pantomime, run by the highly acclaimed KickstArt theatre company. The show runs until Sunday, January 15 at the Elizabeth Sneddon Theatre. The show stars dashing newcomer William Young as the hero, Jack, with the golden-voiced Roshanda Lewis as his love-interest, Princess Jill. Blessing Xaba steps into the Dame’s high heels to play Jack’s long-suffering mother, Flora Flatbroke. Until March 2

An exhibition of new work by the Amashosha Art Movement, entitled Inkaba, is showing at the Durban Art Gallery. The exhibition will run until March 2. The exhibition is curated by Mthobisi Maphumulo and features work by participating artists: Anelisiwe Maphumulo, Andile Maphumulo, Mthobisi Maphumulo, Lindani Maduna, Thembi Mthembu, Thalente Khomo, Lindelwa Msimang, Bongani Luthuli, Nhlanhla Chonco, Sihle Mthethwa, Mzamo Mlambo and Nhlakanipho Peace Ndimande. The Durban Art Gallery is located on the second floor of City Hall, Anton Lembede Street, Central Durban. It is open from 09:00 to 15:30 during the week and from 09:00 to 12:00 on Saturdays.
