Meg is Hirsch’s bunny chow queen

Six contestants cooked their very own recipes to strive to be selected to cook off in the finals.

THERE could only be one winner at the Hirsch’s World Bunny Chow competition finals which were held at the East Coast Radio’s House and Garden Show on Saturday.

Meg Jinhu was crowned this year’s World Bunny Chow Day – usually celebrated on June 26 – champion by judges Allan Hirsch, Masterchef’s Deena Naidoo and Dr Harri.

The judges went on to judge six contestants who had entered their very own recipes to see who would be selected to cook off in the finals.

The top three, Meg Jinhu, Pritha Fakir and Nishan Bissessar, vied for the first prize, a fabulous Defy Multicooker.  There were also fantastic prizes for the two runners-up.

The three judges agreed that the chicken and prawn bunny produced by Jinhu was unbeatable, placing her in the winner’s circle.
