Man struck dead near Queen Nandi Drive

The incident, which occurred this morning, involved a motorist and a pedestrian.

A PEDESTRIAN was killed after being run over by a car on the N2 northbound near Queen Nandi Drive this morning.

According to Emer-G-Med paramedics spokesperson, Kyle van Reenen, the incident occurred at around 08:00.

“A male, approximately 30 years of age was struck by a light motor vehicle and suffered fatal injuries. He was declared dead on arrival of paramedics,” said van Reenen.

The driver of the vehicle, a 35-year-old woman, suffered minor injuries and was treated and stabilised on scene before being taken to hospital for further treatment.
