“Mr Ndimande was appreciated as a strong and gentle man. His kindness was evident to all. He was always ready to assist everyone, from the young girl who remembers that he made her feel safe when she arrived at school, to every visitor who needed help on campus,” said school principal, Dee Horsfall.

“He always stayed to the very end of functions to help clean up and opened the school, first thing in the morning. Always courteous, he asked about everyone else, remembering extended family members.

“There are some people who lead by example and with dignity and make the environment in which they work, richer for everyone. Mr Ndimande is such a man. He is a legend, and many past and present pupils will remember him as part of the moral fibre of the school,” she said
