January train ride to honour Umgeni Steam Railway members

The Umgeni Steam Railway is supported by the 1 000 Hills Community Tourism Organisation.

IF being back at work and school have already gotten you feeling a bit blue, the perfect pick-me-up would be a scenic trip on the Umgeni Steam Train.

The scenic trip from the Kloof Railway Station to the Inchanga Craft Market takes place on January 29 and 30 and will depart at 08:30 or 12:30.

The train trips on this weekend will be in tribute to two members of the Umgeni Steam Railway: Josef Johannes (Jopie) Pretorius and Julie Jansen van Rensburg.

The trip is is 25km long and takes about an hour, one-way. Ticket Prices for the round trip cost R290 per adult and R200 per pensioner (60 years and older) and child (two to 12 years). The family package is priced at R880 for two adults and two children.
