Laugh your way to Christmas at Sibaya Casino

Get ready for laughter by the barrel when the Dingalings and a line-up of other comedians perform live at Sibaya during the month of December.

AFTER an 18-month closure due to the Covid-19 pandemic, Sibaya Casino is excited to announce that it will host live performances again.

It all starts with the Dingalings, followed by a line-up of other comedians this December.

Dingalings, Henry Ramkissoon, Koobeshen Naidoo and Satchu Annamalai, have used lockdown to come up with a zany, new mixed comedy and music show that is guaranteed to get you in a festive mood with their Dingel Bells extravaganza. It will be held at the iZulu Theatre every Friday to Sunday from December 3 to 19.

The comedians will be accompanied by the all new Dingalings show band that includes some of Durban’s most talented vocalists and musos.

Vocalists Candy Chetty, Kerwin Strydom and Simphiwe Melinda Cele will be joined by drummer Kelvin Pillay and guitarist, Aaron Macallister Naidoo.

Every Friday to Sunday during December, equally funny stand-up comedians will perform at Sibaya Theatre, next to the Sun Lounge at Sibaya Casino. They are geared up to make audiences forget the Covid-19 blues, and the shows start with Arnot Payne, Kevin Stoffels and friends with their Laughter Squared act from December 3 to 5.

They will be followed by Jokers Corner’s IZiyingayinga Comedy Night, hosted by Gagasi FM’s Fly Motion with Simphiwe Shembe and Siyanda Maphumulo, from December 10 to 12.

From December 16 to 19, the hilarious Masood Moogard and his crew will increase the laughter levels with their Durban Comedy Jol.

From December 22 to 24, the internationally acclaimed Carvin Goldstone will put the cheer back into Christmas, while mind reader, illusionist and mentalist, Brandon Peel will keep the audience spellbound as he leads out 2021 with his Smoke and Mirror’s show between December 28 and 30.

Evening shows take place from 19.30 on Friday and Saturday nights, and the Sunday matinees begin at 15:00, with the exception of Smoke and Mirrors on December 30, which will begin at 17:00.

Tickets are available at Computicket and are restricted to over 16s. All Covid-19 protocols will be adhered to.
